Class 3 St. Bernadette and Class 4 St Patrick visited Leeds Grand Mosque. The Children were excellent ambassadors for St Gregory's. First, the Children and Staff were taught about the Muslim religion and shown various prayer mats. They were told about how Muslims pray, how often and in which direction. The Children also heard an account of a family who lived in Scotland and how they followed the faith. Next, the Children learnt Arabic and the final part of their exciting day was spent dressing in typical Muslim clothing. The Children (and Staff!) all took part in this.
Many thanks to Mrs Kershaw, Miss Brierley, Mrs O' Nions, Mrs Bell and Mrs Harrington for their hard work on the day and a big thank you to all the Children for their excellent behaviour and respectful attitudes.
