THE NEW CLIMBING WALL ARRIVES!

After stringent safety checks, a risk assessment and of course, the obligatory sampling of the walL ( courtesy of Mrs McDonagh Smith!) and at last the Children were given the go ahead to use the climbing wall.

The Children have a timetable displayed in each classroom, so that each class has a turn on a specific day. Obviously for safety reasons, the Children have to abide by certain rules when using the climbing wall.(see below).

The wall has been a huge success, with many Children discovering climbing talents they never knew they had. The Staff have heard many positive comments.

"This wall is great fun...I am never bored at playtime!"

"i have played with people I don't normally always play with...we have got something in common now."

"It's quite difficult at first, but I'm getting better at it every day."

"I keep setting myself challenges..how far can I get on the wall."

"I think everybody should give it a try!"

We would ask parents to read the risk assessment below and also the rules. Please also read through these rules with your Child. Their safety is of the utmost importance. Thank you in anticipation of your co-operation.

Children in year 6 show off their climbing skills.

Risk assessment in place.
