St Gregory's Staff and Children have spent a very busy week learning about different countries, their customs, the food they eat, their traditional costumes and of course...their music and dance.
We were very fortunate to have Rebecca from Dance Workshops (part of the Education Group) to help each year group to learn a particular traditional dance, involving countries such as Spain, Ireland and Greece. Each year group spent some time in the morning rehearsing their dance routine and then the day culminated in blaze of music, laughter and dance as each year group performed for the rest of the School.
St Theresa's dance was Spanish and very very fast!
St Bernadette's year 3 get into the beat....
St Patrick's year 4 were wonderful at their Greek dancing!
St Andrew's year 5 gave Michael Flatley's Riverdance a run for their money!
Year 6 worked hard on an energetic Russian dance.
As you can see by the photographs above, the Children had trememdous fun learning about different countries and their cultures.
