A TIME TO REFLECT

A TIME TO PRAY

A TIME TO HAVE FUN

A DIARY EXTRACT

On Wednesday the 18th of April, 2007, Class 6 of St Gregory's went to Myddelton Grange. On our arrival we were greeted by Frank and Emma (the Myddelton Grange staff). Firstly, we went to the conference room for a fire safety check and rules and then we played our first game - spies.  We all got a number and had to play rock paper scissors to find out the other persons number; if they won you had to show them your number then you would join a conga line!  It turned out all our  numbers were the same (100). Then Frank told us about how easy it was to make divisions between people.

Next, we played Squirt!  We pretended we had
a water gun and we had to shout ‘squirt!’ and get the  person who was next to us.  However, if Emma shouted ‘squirt!’ and pointed at you, you had to duck down and the people on either side had to point at each other and shout SQUIRT!  The last two people to survive were Demi and Bradley who had to run and open cases, in which there was a gun to shoot the other person.  Unfortunately, Bradley had a tiny water gun and Demi had a Super soaker (really big water gun); then it was time for tea. We had spaghetti for tea and for dessert we had an ice-cream sundae. We played outside for a while, then when we came in it was about 9 pm. At 9:30 we said evening prayers and then went downstairs . Finally at 10:30pm we went to bed.

At half seven in the morning I had just woken up and I looked out of the window to see about 7 rabbits out on the field.  For an hour and a half I played top trumps with my roommate (Callum) then at 9 am the class went down for our morning prayers and BREAKFAST! I was starving!  After breakfast, we had a little play.  Then we had a treasure hunt. We split into groups and had to find clues that spelt out a saying. It was great fun. After the treasure hunt, we worked together in small groups to think about what our feet, hands, eyes and ears do, to help others and to serve God. Before long, it was time for our lunch. After lunch, we had a twenty  MILE walk (or was it 3?).When we got back to Myddleton grange it was tea and we celebrated Jordan and Jessica's birthdays.  Then we played grand national, which was brilliant. Afterwards, we watched the Simpsons,  then we  went downstairs and Frank let me borrow a Narnia card game to figure out how to play it. Soon, it  was 11pm so we had to go to bed

It was then the last day at  Myddelton grange. We had morning prayer, then breakfast. Afterwards, we spent time on our Mass preparation until lunchtime. We had lunch and then we went into the Chapel to celebrate our final mass at Myddelton Grange. Finally, the time had come….it was time to leave and go home.
